Iguaçu Canyon

Located near the Falls,
it provides the visitor of all ages with activities
for a close contact with nature: rafting, tree
climbing and rock climbing at various degrees
of difficulty.

Rafting
Rafting on the Iguaçú river is
a 4 km boat ride down the rapids, 2km being
on the rapids and 2km on calm waters where passengers
may go for a swim. The starting point is near
the fall where visitors will enjoy a magnificent
view.
The rapids are rated medium level (class III+)
and are open to people of all ages.
Tree Climbing
Tree climbing is divided into three areas of
activity: Low Elements, High Elements and the
artificial Climbing Wall.
All Tree Climbing activities may be carried
out individually or in groups. Some other skills
that may be explored:
- Challenge participants to find out whether
they can achieve beyond their expectations
and surpass their limits;
- Exercise group problem solving skills through
simple and fun-filled activities;
- Stimulate decision making and trust among
participants, as well as try to encourage
team organization, teamwork, self-control,
motor coordination. Awaken leadership skills
and work potential skills.
- Encourage participants to commune and interact
with nature;

| Rapel
In order to practice rapel, the visitor will
follow a 360m long overhead trail in the jungle
to the rapel platform. The descent from the
rapel platform is 55m long and provides a view
of the Iguaçú Falls.
Before rapelling specialized guides, who will
go over all safety guidelines, will instruct
all visitors. Two people may rapel simultaneously.
