pulled by an electric powered vehicle and a walk
followed by a boat ride by the Iguaçú
River all the way to the Falls.
The great adventure begins at the Macuco Safari
entrance gate after visitors board an open carriage
that provides a general view of the scenery along
the trail. |

During the three-kilometer route
through the jungle, multilingual guides describe
the fauna and flora of the Park, orchids, heart
of palm trees, bromeliads, hundred-year-old trees
and wild life that are seen during the ride. |

On food by the trail
- The second phase, a 600-meter stretch (optional),
takes the party on a walk by the trails that lead
to the fall known as Salto do Macuco (Macuco Waterfall).
The waterfall - this
is a perfect opportunity for a cool dip during very
hot days. The waterfall drops from about 20 meters
above ground and it is reached on ladders embedded
in thousand-year-old rocks. The last stop is the Macuco
Safari pier on the Brazilian shore of the Iguaçú
river.

a virtual visit to the waterfall
On the water on double
outboard motor inflatable boats, safe and efficient
and manufactured in accordance with the needs of the
ride. Before boarding, passengers are issued lifesaver
vests and plastic bags for the protection of filming
and photographic equipment. The boat goes up river,
through the canyon, braving the rapids, at an average
speed that enables visitors to enjoy the scenery.
Rocks, wildlife and plenty of green are part of the
scenery on the route to the foot of the spectacular
Falls, near the " great horseshoe" known
as " the Devil's Gorge" .

| Waterfall
shower - Rainbows, blue skies, fog and
plenty of water can be found at the waterfalls
known as " The Three Musketeers", where
the boat operator steers and brings the boat close
enough to the waterfall in order to provide passengers
with a quick and fun filled shower. And, since
at the end of this playful activity everyone is
soaked, those who usually feel cold should bring
an extra change of clothes for after the boat
ride. |

Rafting

The rafting on the Iguaçu river comprises
a boat ride down the river rapids of approximately
4km, 2km of which on calm waters where swimming
in the river waters in encouraged. The trips starts
near the Falls and the view is just fantastic.
The rapids are rated as being middle level
(class III+), and are recommended to rafters
from 14 years of age and up.
