The Porto Canoas area has a large gathering and observation area inside the park. It is an rest alternative for people at the end of the trail, with a beautiful view of the Falls and of the sunset.

The last stop for the Park's internal transportation system is located there and it also boasts a place for folkloric and cultural shows, restrooms, first aid station, ambulance service, public phones, post office, an area for environmental expositions, food court with snack services, pastry store and a restaurant serving typical food.

The Porto Canoas food court's slogan is "the most delicious view of the Falls" due to its privileged location and its deck leaning on the Iguaçú river, thus enabling visitors to enjoy a unique view of the upper part of the Falls.
